Flash/Actionscript/Flex Engineer
XIF is seeking a well-rounded, senior-level Software Engineer with deep expertise and real-world experience building advanced Rich Internet Applications using Flash/Actionscript/Flex (experience with both Actionscript 2 and 3 is desired). We are NOT looking for a timeline Flash animator or interactive designer. We want a true engineer capable of building web-based software applications using Actionscript.
Required Skill Set:
- 3+ years of experience in Internet Development
- 5+ years of experience in Software Development
- Advanced knowledge of Flash/Actionscript (and supporting technologies, e.g. Flash Media Server, Flex, Flash Lite, etc.)
- Experience with XML/XSL
- Experience with Flash Video (FLV)
- Understanding of human interaction and the importance of user interface/graphic design
- Thorough attention to detail
- Exceptional communication skills
- Self-Management skills
- Strong work ethic and a good character
Additional Desired Skills:
- A degree in Computer Science
- Product development expertise
- Experience with Java/J2EE/JSP, PHP, and other web/backend programming
- Experience with presence, voip, and messaging protocols such as XMPP, SIP, IMAP
- Experience in developing for multiple devices, application types, and browsers

Web Architect/Engineer
XIF is seeking a well-rounded, senior-level Software Engineer with real-world experience building advanced Web Applications. We seek a high level of skill with content management systems, e-commerce/shopping carts, search, and other common web applications, as well as more advanced Web 2.0-style applications using Ajax and Flash. It is also important to be able to talk across both open-source and proprietary technologies, and know when to build versus pull off-the-shelf. Work history at web development/design firms is extremely desirable.
We are looking for someone with a broad technical foundation, capable of being dropped in to myriad environments with the goal of solving problems. As a full service interactive agency, XIF takes on various projects that call for an architect with a wide-reaching base of technical expertise.
The ideal candidate has spent a good portion of the past several years working with clients to gather requirements, architect solutions, lead other developers, and write code.

Web Development Manager
XIF is seeking a well-rounded, senior-level Development Manager/Project Manager to lead design and development projects at XIF. As a full service interactive agency, XIF takes on various engagements that call for a project lead with a wide-reaching base of expertise. The ability to be the liaison between the client, interface designers, software engineers, and management is critical. Structure, organization, discipline, and a good personality with a consultative approach to client management will enable success.
Required Skill Set:
- Experience with Development Methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.)
- Experience managing Web Development Projects
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to assist in client business planning in a consultative role
- Solid Technical skills (see note below)
- Excellent Writing skills
- Ability to define, prioritize, write, and prototype solution requirements
- Exceptional personnel management and team leadership skills
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects and teams concurrently
- Solid understanding of Ajax and Adobe's (formerly Macromedia's) suite of products
- Understanding of human interaction and importance of user interface/graphic design

Note on Technical Skills: We expect a good understanding of how everything from Java, to PHP, to Flash to Ajax fit in to "Web 2.0" development. Candidates do not need to be engineers, but must have a solid technical foundation and up-to-date knowledge on Web technologies.
